Sink in.
Slow down.

A quiet modern house tucked into pine forest outside Landskrona — a candlelit hot tub for two, room enough for the kids, and a sandy lake just down the road.

A house built for
doing very little.

The Forest Village sits at the end of a gravel path, wrapped in pine and birch, a short walk from nothing in particular. That's the idea. It's the kind of place couples come to disappear into each other for a weekend, and the kind of place families come to let the kids run out of energy before dinner.

Underfloor-warm bathrooms, a proper outdoor kitchen for slow evening cooking, a loft room stacked with pillows for the kids, and — after dark — a hot tub lit only by candles and the blue glow of the water itself.

Couple relaxing in the glowing hot tub under string lights

The evening you came here for

Once the light drops, the terrace changes character entirely. Candles down the rail, string lights overhead, the tub lit blue from below. Bring the bottle you've been saving — this is the reason people come back a second time.

Covered outdoor kitchen with grill and wood storage

Cook outside, eat late

A proper covered kitchen with a built-in grill and its own wood store, so dinner happens outdoors even when a Swedish evening turns cool. Long enough for a crowd, cosy enough for two.

Loft room with a large mattress, TV and games for the kids

A room that's entirely theirs

Downstairs, a low-lit loft with a wall-to-wall mattress, a television, and a games console — built so the kids can wind down (or not) on their own schedule while the grown-ups get a moment on the terrace.

Sandy lake shore near Saxtorp, close to the house

A sandy lake, almost to yourselves

Saxtorpssjöarna's soft-sand shoreline is a short walk away — warm, shallow, and usually quiet on a weekday. Pack the towels; it's an easy half-day even with small kids in tow.

Lit gravel path and cedar-clad wall in the garden at night

Every path finds its light

The whole garden is lit for the evening — stepping stones through gravel, up-lit hedges, warm wall sconces along the cedar. Nothing here goes dark the moment the sun does.

Modern curved-glass shower and vanity in the bathroom

Comfort, not camping

Underfloor heating, a proper rain shower, a well-stocked little kitchenette for mornings that don't need to start early. It's the forest, minus the compromises.

"Exactly as described — clean, cozy, and perfect for a couple. Great local recommendations from the host. We'd happily stay here again!" ❤︎🙌

— Airbnb review

"We were all really happy. I'd add Sofiero Castle to the excursion list — we loved that too. And the bikes were great!"

— Kerstin, Germany

"The activity tips were fantastic — Ven, Söderåsen and the moose, Lund, Malmö, Nimis, Järavallen, Borstahusen, and an evening walk right from the house. What more could you want."

YOUR HOSTS

Run by the same family as La Vizcacha, Argentina

We host The Forest Village ourselves, alongside our other stay — a 1890s casa quinta outside Buenos Aires. We reply quickly, we're happy to point you toward the lake or the best bakery in Landskrona, and we leave you alone the rest of the time. That's the whole philosophy.

ALSO IN THE FAMILY

Liked it slow here? It's slower there.

An hour outside Buenos Aires, La Vizcacha is our other house — a casa quinta from 1890, with a pool, a parrilla, and a wide shaded gallery, run by the same family. If a forest cabin in Sweden is your kind of quiet, the Argentine countryside might be next.
